When I buy vehicles directly from the Collection Tiers occasionally they do not show up in my garage. For instance I purchased the E46 M3 for 90k credits (and they were deducted from my account) but the car doesn’t appear in my garage?

are they showing up under a different manufacturer? For instance the hoonigan cars all show up under hoonigan, even though the escort is clearly a Ford.

Also are you looking specifically at your garage from the main menu? Sometimes if i’m going through my garage on track, i dont notice that i actually have some sort of class restriction on (especially in free play) and then the car won’t show up.

So in Forza 7 when you’re buying cars, some of them are locked behind a collection tier. Every car has a rarity rating, common cars can be purchased immediately at the beginning of the game. Uncommon cars can be purchased once you reach collection tier 2. Rare at 3, etc..

You up your collection tier by buying more cars. The system encourages players to buy a crap ton of cars and turn it into a “gotta catch em all” situation. There’s also a collection tier menu where that you can purchase cars directly from, it looks like this:

Yeah the manufacturer isn’t even showing up in the main menu. Like the BMWs are not appearing I got the E36 from leveling up and bought the E46 through the tier menu, neither show up but my R32 GTR which I bought with credits is there.

Because everyone was asking for some way to make it harder to buy the cars they wanted in Forza. Just an hour ago, Turn10 saved me from being able to purchase the Nissan R30/R31? Skyline because not only is it locked behind a ‘collection tier’ I haven’t opened yet, it is also ‘exclusive content’ and will potentially be available from a short list of places other than the typical car list. Praise Jeebus Turn10 saved me from spending my measly sum of credits on a car that I like but couldn’t use anyway because it won’t meet their homologation requirements. /s

Fuck you Turn10.

Yeah, i tend to play the game as a sandbox so its kinda a bummer for me too. Some people like that sense of progression i guess though. I dunno, at least i know there will still be cars i’m trying to get a month or two from now.

One thing to note about homologation is that you can probably do it better . Homologation will never install any parts from the “conversion” menu. That means it will never add FI, never engine swap you and never drivetrain swap you. Every homologated car i own, i take back to stock and re-homologate it myself since I enjoy the tuning part of the game quite a bit.

Are you looking at your garage from the free play menu? Forza 7 seems to automatically set a class restriction to your current cars class when you start a free play race meaning that if you forget to switch the car restriction back to any class you won’t be seeing your entire garage. It’s a stupid thing and it prevents you from being able to do races with cars from multiple categories.

Not sure if I like that. So I might have to spend Cr on crap cars i’ll never use to get to cars I actually want? Which makes it even harder to get expensive cars since you waste Cr on crap cars. Nice...

Thank you for the explanation

Yeah, though I got to the second to top level within my first few hours ( I was doing everything I could to get there.)

Personally I’m more into hoopties than race cars, so I’m not hating it, but if I really wanted to immediately buy and modify prototype racers I’d probably be a little impatient.
